Elizabeth Soglin graduated with a BFA in Theatre Design and Technical Production with a focus on props at Western Michigan University. Lizzy is originally from suburban Chicago, Illinois, and has been lucky to have grown up in and around Chicago's vibrant theatre scene. Lizzy highly values the collaborative nature of props, because she gets to work with designers and technicians of all focuses, directors, stage managers, and of course, performers in supporting the vision of the story being told. She loves finding (or making) the perfect object that can transform the very world of the production, and that no two days in props are ever the same. Elizabeth made her professional debut at the Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts in 2018 and was thrilled to return for a second season the following summer. She was thrilled to be the Properties Designer for those summers and get to work with the remarkably talented cast, crew and creative team. Since then, Lizzy has worked on plays, musicals, operas in Michigan, Indiana, New Jersey, New York, and even did theme park decor in Virginia. At the start of 2022, she was proud to be a part of the prop team for the Off-Broadway premiere of Little Girl Blue at New World Stages. In the Fall of 2022, Lizzy began working at The Juilliard School in the Prop Shop as a props artisan as part of the Professional Apprenticeship Program. After she completed her apprenticeship, she continued to work for Juilliard as an overhire props artisan.
